Wagenburg - Vienna

The Wagenburg at Schönbrunn castle displays the old coaches and carriages of the Imperial family. The gilded Imperial car, Marie-Theresa’s riding car, Napoleon’s son’s stroller, and the black hearse of the Viennese court are among some of the most impressive pieces in the exhibition. The golden carriages transport you to an age of splendour. To go out in winter, they used sleds, and if one did not like horses, not a problem, just take a rickshaw or a litter, the taxis of the era!
