Trinity Church - Salzburg

The Trinity Church is one of the largest and most important churches in Salzburg, located in the Neustadt, near the Linzergasse. It was built between 1694 and 1702 by Fischer von Erlach, who built several other churches in Salzburg. It was commissioned by the Prince Archbishop Johan Ernst von Thun and was originally intended to function as a home for young men training to be monks. The building has several Roman elements, and you should take the time to appreciate the façade from the square in front of it. Inside, there is a beautiful painting on the inside of the dome by Johann Michael Rottmayr, which depicts the coronation of the Virgin Mary with the Holy Trinity.
