Treasury - Vienna

Come and marvel at the greatest Treasury in the world! In the oldest part of the Hofburg (which dates to the 13th century), you will find not only the Imperial Crown of the Holy Roman Empire (from around 962), and the Imperial Austrian Crown (1602), but also the 15th century treasure of the Bourguignons and much more! You can see objects of great value such as the Emperor Rudolph II’s crown (1552-1612) and the orb and sceptre of the Austrian emperors, which are symbols of power and dignity. The unique pieces, richly decorated with jewels are not only a record of the time, but have immense material value. The entrance to the Schatzkammer is on the Schweizerhof, and the latter is named after the old Swiss Guard.
