Stibbert Museum - Florence

This museum was established by Frederick Stibbert (1838-1906) and is a rare example of a 19th century museum dedicated to its own period. The collections include weapons, armour, costumes, applied arts, tapestries and portraits dating from the 16th to 19th centuries. The most interesting collection is that of weapons and armour from Europe, the Middle East and Japan.
