Santissima Annunziata Church - Florence

The Santissima Annunziata was originally built in 1250, then re-imagined two centuries later by Michelozzo, under the orders of the Medici family. The Corinthian columns, that Renaissance essential, were added during this period, as was the stunning tabernacle that you will see as you walk in. It’s also worth mentioning the Little Cloister of Wishes (Chiostrino dei Voti), which houses a series of frescoes painted by Pontorno, Andrea del Sarto and Rosso Fiorentino: the three major fresco artists of the time.

Open daily, 7.30am- 12.30pm and 4pm- 6.30pm.
