Saint Antoine Market - Barcelona

Mercat Sant Antoni is located in the Eixample district, and is home to one of Barcelona's largest markets. The imposing structure of the steel building was imagined by Antoni Revira i Trias and is very spectacular. This food market has colourful stands full of fruit, vegetables, fish and seafood, and if you're undecided as to what to buy, the stall owners will be more than happy to advise you and give you a sample. It's also worth noting that on Sundays, from 8am until 3pm, the book and coin market takes place, a real paradise for collectors, but equally interesting for those looking to buy postcards, magazines, vinyl, stamps or even second-hand clothing.

Monday - Thursday and Saturday: 7am-2.30pm and 5.30-8.30pm. Friday: 7am-8.30pm. Closed in August.
