Palau de la Generalitat - Barcelona

On the first Sunday of every month, the Palau de la Generalitat organises a free carillon concert. The carillon consists of 49 bronze bells weighing a total of 5,000kg, located at the seat of the Catalan government, and is occasionally put to use, to the delight of anyone within earshot. The show takes place inside the pretty Pati dels Tarongers (Orange Tree Patio) and the works played include classical works and pieces written especially for the occasion. The concerts are also an exceptional chance to see inside the building, and as tickets cannot be reserved it's advised that you arrive in good time in order to guarantee a seated place.

12 midday on the first Sunday of the month.
