New market - Florence

The ""Nuovo Mercato"", or New Market, takes place beneath a lovely arcaded Loggia. At this lively market you'll come across the ""Porcellino"" a bronze statue of a wild boar presented by Pope Paul IV to Cosimo I de Medici. The statue is the district's lucky mascot.
