National Museum of the Art of Catalonia (National Palace) - Barcelona

This palace was built for the International Exhibition of 1929. It exhibits paintings by masters such as Zurbaran, Velazquez, Ribera and El Greco. There are also examples of Gothic sculpture (some by Jaume Huguet). We would particularly recommend the exhibition of Catalan Romanesque art which is the only such collection in the world. The frescos dating from the 11th to 14th centuries are particularly charming.
