Mönschberg Museum of Modern Art - Salzburg

Above the rooftops, perched on the Mönschberg you will find the Mönschberg Museum of Modern Art. This building was built in 2004 and incorporates many of the façades of Salzburger life, including a 20th century water tower, which can be seen in the glassed in staircases, and digital prints of chords from some of Mozart's most famous concertos printed on the outside of the building. The museum itself is dedicated to modern art, and its interior offers a spacious 2,300 m² setting for modern/purist art, accommodating exhibitions from the 20th and 21st centuries with their varying requirements.
