Kärntner Straße - Vienna

Kärntner Straβe is one of the central streets in Vienna, which leads to the Stephansplatz Opera (the square in front of St Stephen’s Cathedral. It passes the Hotel Sacher, the legendary hotel which invented the famous Sachertorte. It is a rather expensive shopping street, and big brands line up all along the road. In this pedestrian zone there are always plenty of tourists, locals out for a stroll, shoppers and bystanders, who come to see the various street artists and musicians. It is also a great place to stop for a coffee in a shady spot and do a spot of people watching!
