Georg Coch Platz - Vienna

From Georg Coch square you can see an Otto Wagner- who was the most important architect of his time- masterpiece: the old “Postsparcassen-Amt”, the first savings bank of the Austrian post office, created in 1883 by Georg Coch. He spent a long time in England to create a system which was capable of combining a central financial institution with external collections. Postparcasse was an astounding success!
