Ethnology Museum - Vienna

The Vienna Ethnology Museum is one of the largest ethnological museums in the world. You can admire more than 200,000 ethnographic objects, 25,000 historical photos, 136,000 printed works and 300km of film about the history, culture and daily life of different peoples across the world, with a focus on non-Europeans. You will be guided through fascinating lives, extraordinary stories of adventure, well thought out visions of the world, impressive creativity. The joy of the museum's creator comes across through the passion of the tireless work and research you see before you. Every Wednesday at 3pm, there is a guided tour for children, with funny, captivating stories about monsters and brave heroes, as well as about the little things in cultures, such as daily life and festivals in Japan, about rice, silk and Gods who help men.
