Eckartsau Hunting Lodge - Vienna

The Eckartsau castle is a beautiful old castle, which was converted into a hunting lodge, close to the Danube-Auen national park, in the Marchfeld region. The castle entered the history books when it was the last residence of Charles I of Austria, who fled there after WWI on the 11th of November 1918, before being exiled to Switzerland in 1919.
