Café Konditorei Fürst - Salzburg

The Café Konditorei Fürst was opened in 1884 by Paul Fürst, and quickly became popular with Salzburgers. In 1890, he invented the Mozartkugel, a delicious pistachio and nougat flavoured truffle, named in honour of Salzburg's most famous son. It was an instant hit, and the popularity of both Fürst and the Mozartkugel is still growing to this day. Why not pop in to one of the three stores dotted about the city to try one of their delicious truffles that come in a variety of flavours? These sweet treats also make great souvenirs, as many are named after famous Salzburgers, such as the Doppeler Kon(ef)ekt, or the Bach Würfel. A definite must for all those with a sweet tooth!
