Birthplace of Mozart - Salzburg

The Mozart family lived on the third floor of this house on the Getreidegasse for 26 years, and during this time, on the 27th of January 1756, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born. The building has housed the International Mozarteum since the late 19th century, and it has been recently renovated to protect the artefacts it holds. These include family portraits and letters, as well as several musical instruments belonging to Mozart himself. There are many carefully thought out exhibits including ""A day in the life of a child prodigy"" and ""Sacred music and the veneration of the saints"". This is a very well thought out museum that will entertain the whole family.
