Archaeology Museum - Bruges

Located within three late Middle Ages bourgeois houses, the Archaeological Museum brings together the most interesting finds from digs carried out in Bruges since the 19th century. Through an array of man-made objects (including stone, wood, metal, leather, glass, etc.), you are afforded an insight into the lifestyles of the people who once inhabited this land, which has been one of the most densely populated regions in Europe since the Stone Age. A particular highlight is the museum’s beautiful collection of wall paintings salvaged from ruined bourgeois houses.
