Villa Petraia (Medici) - Florence
The Villa Petraia is certainly the most beautiful of all the Medici villas. This is due partly to its location in the Florentine countryside, as well as its lovely pictorial decorations with frescos by Volterrano and Cosimo Daddi, and its grounds, gardens and terraces. Giambologna’s famous bronze statue of Venus is exhibited here.
