Villa Foscarini Rossi - Venice

The Villa Foscarini Rossi, the origins of which date back to XVIth century, was the residence of a noble Venitian family during the XVIIIth century, not far away from Venice and Padua. The Foscarini family, a member of which was a doge, charged many great artists to building the edifice designed by Andrea Palladio such as Vincenzo Scamozzi and Francesco Contini, the painters Pietro Liberi, Giuseppe Jappelli and Domenico de Bruni. The villa sometimes hosts temporary exhibitions, weddings and congresses.

Things to see: Salone delle Feste and the 1652 frescos.
