Via Condotti starts at the bottom of the Spanish Steps (Scalinata della Trinità dei Monti) and is one of the three most famous shopping streets in Rome. Originally this road was constructed to transport water to the Baths of Agrippa. The Via Condotti attracts the world’s fashion conscious and nowadays is the trendy centre of shopping in Rome. Many famous designers have stores here including Bulgari (which incidentally opened as an atelier in 1905), Valentino, Armani, Cartier, Chanel, Gucci, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Salvatore Ferragamo and Zara.
