Teatre Romea - Barcelona

The Theater Romea first opened its doors in 1863, before enjoying something of a renaissance at the end of the 1990s. Situated right at the heart of the El Raval district, its interior decor is sober and classic whilst at the same time being intimist, and the theatre's calendar is filled with quality classic, modern and contemporary theatre. Transgression, provocation and reflection are the key words for the Theater Romea, which often generates debate about contemporary culture. The theatre has its own company, who are extremely talented and generous in their performance.
