Siegmund Freud Museum - Vienna
Freud, the father of psychoanalysis, lived and worked at 19 Berggasse, for almost half a century (1981-1938), before emigrating to England after Austria was annexed by Germany, spending his final year there. His apartment and ordination are now a museum. His daughter Anna donated the original furniture in the waiting room, around 80 objects from his antiques collection and several of her father’s personal possessions. In the media room, visitors have the opportunity to look at and to listen to rare documents and short films by Sigmund Freud from 1930 to 1939.
