San Romolo Cathedral - Fiesole

Up until 1026, the Badia Fiesolana Church served as Fiesole’s cathedral. This Roman church was subsequently rebuilt by Cosimo de Medici and renamed San Romolo Cathedral, after a martyred bishop. The cathedral is also known as the Duomo di Fiesole. Its most remarkable feature is its crenellated bell-tower. You will also be struck by the cathedral’s restrained marble interior.
