Saint Pères (rue des) - Paris

This road is very pretty and there are many antique dealers. Its name is an alteration of its original name of Rue Saint-Pierre. The large modern building which occupies part of the road comprises a section of the Paris Faculty of Medecine. Rue des Saints Pères has had some famous occupants: number 3 housed the politician Ernest Renan; the painter, Manet died at number 5; the painter Modigliani lived at number 45. At number 10, the cabaret club "Don Camillo", is the only one remaining of its type.
