Piazza Colonna - Rome
Among the liveliest areas of the city, Piazza Colonna features many attractions. In the centre stands the great Column of Marcus Aurelius, which is decorated with intricate reliefs to show the victorious military campaigns of the Emperor. On the northern side of the square you will find the famous Palazzo Chigi, which dates back to the 16th century and today serves as the official meeting place of Council of Ministers. Last but not least running through Piazza Colonno is the Via del Corso, which is the main street through the historical centre of Rome.
