Nerva forum - Roma

The construction of the forum started during Domitian's reign but ended during Nerva's in 97. This third imperial forum linked Vespasian's to Augustus's, hence it is also called Forum Transitorium. The long and narrow square measuring 120 by 45 metres, was surrounded by a colonnade. A great part of it is covered by the Via dei Fori Imperiali. Originally, there was a temple dedicated to Minerva but it was destroyed in the XVIIth century.
