Chrysler Building - New_York

The Chrysler Building is one of the most famous skyscrapers in New York. Located at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and 42nd Street in the Midtown neighbourhood, it is 319 metres high. Designed by the American architect William Van Alen, it was opened in 1930. The building's lobby was renovated in 1978, and is now comprised of marble, steel and granite, quite similar to that of the Empire State Building. This skyscraper was built upon the request of Walter Chrysler, the president of the company, who wanted a building to celebrate its success.
