Christmas Market - Barcelona

The Fira de Santa Llucia is Barcelona's Christmas market, which has taken place for over 200 years in front of the cathedral on the Plaça Nova, in the Gothic quarter. You'll find everything you need here to get into the festive Christmas spirit, but in a Catalan style: although be warned, the market can get packed, particularly at the weekend. The Fira de Santa Llucia is divided into three sections - a green zone selling trees and decorations, one dedicated to figures for nativity scenes, and a third selling a range of traditional hand crafted gifts. It's a great place to go even if you just want to browse the stalls and take in the festive atmosphere.
