Chatham Square - New_York

Chatham Square is a square situated at the cross roads of a number of significant streets, Mott Street or even Bowery. At the beginning of the 19th century there was an important market, selling livestock and horses, on this site. Although you will no longer find this market today. Chatham Square, in Chinatown, now houses the Kimlau Memorial Arch, a monument to those American citizens of Chinese descent who fought in the Second World War. Before the Great Depression, this square, rich with history, became the hotspot for American tattoo parlors.
