Central Synagogue - New_York

The Central Synagogue was built in 1872 - making it one of the oldest synagogues in New York, and it looks like Budapest's Dohány Street Synagogue. You can't help but be charmed by the beauty of the building. The dramatic style of the building was the cause of much debate, with some finding its neo-gothic style too much. Many weddings have taken place in this synagogue and it is here that you will find the Eternal Flame, which has been burning since 1872.
