Castor and Pollux temple - Roma

Only three corinthian columns remain on the temple of the Dioscuri who are the divine twins Castor and Pollux. The temple was built in their honour in 484, after the battle during which they were identified as the two horseriders who led the Latin army to victory against Tarquin the Proud in his attempt to counter the Latin conquest of Rome.
