Basilica of Saint Praxedes - Rome

Santa Prassede Church dates back to the 9th century and is still home to some magnificent Byzantine frescos dating from the time of its creation. These frescos marked by Christian symbolism portray the Saint and her sister in the company of Christ and Pope Paschal I who initiated construction of the church.


Daily from 7 am - 12 midday and again from 4 pm - 6:30 pm.
