Yunnan is a province in southern China, with common borders with Vietnam and Myanmar. mainly mountainous region, Yunnan is mainly tropical in the east to become drier as one approaches the Tibet. So we are quite far from coastal China and its major metropolises, also further economic development in all-will: that is probably what is the charm of Yunnan, ending up in full rural China. The region saw indeed mainly on its agriculture, and good news about tourism: symbol of these activities, visitors are invariably impressed by the large terraced rice fields that cover the mountainsides, barely out of the Kunming city . Some villages or cities (in China the proportions are not the same!) Are worth visiting for the conservation of an ancient heritage, as Lijiang or Jianshui, alongside escapades through the Yunnan campaign.
