Accommodation is cheaper during the low season from May to August period coinciding with the monsoon season in the region. The high season lasts from December to February.
The guest rooms are usually the cheapest option. If you intend to stay for several days at the same place, do not hesitate to ask for a discount.
hostels hardly exist in Thailand, and for good reason, given the abundance of 'cheap accommodation, why bother to go to cram in a dorm when for the same price you can have peace in a single room?
Side hotel, rates for Thai hotels start around 200 baht and go up to 800 baht. The resort hotels usually cost around 1,000 baht a night.
For a luxury hotel prices can rise up to 4000 baht or more.

Tips and caution while traveling in Thailand

scams targeting tourists are common in Thailand, be vigilant and use common sense. The main international airports in Thailand are located in Bangkok and Phuket, they are both well served by intercontinental flights.

The other international airports are Hat Yai, Krabi, Koh Samui and Chiang Mai, although they largely limited to flights from other Southeast Asian countries.
