The Paradiski area

First mark: we are in the Tarentaise Valley, in the heart of the Alps in the Savoie department to be precise. Savoy, birthplace of skiing in France, and No. 1 destination for fans of the genre, with its many alpine areas ... including Paradiski, second in size behind the 3 Valleys.

Established in 2003, Paradiski is born of the combination of two ski areas, those of La Plagne and Les Arcs. This required the construction of the largest cable car in the world, the Vanoise Express: result, it takes about 5 minutes to rally the areas of La Plagne and Les Arcs .

The result would almost giddy: 14390 hectares, 425 kilometers of slopes in total! And this does not take into account additional 153 kilometers dedicated to cross country skiing, as well as many facilities for all kinds of snow recreation.

established between 1250 meters and 3250 meters, Paradiski has nearly 70% of its area beyond the 2000 meters, providing excellent snow cover. The area is equipped with snow cannons if needed: it is possible to ski in the month of December until late April. A long and beautiful season!

Of course, skiing is king Paradiski. And everyone is benefiting through the variety of tracks, both in the difficulty in the beauty of the landscapes. A quick count: 12 green runs for beginners, 124 blue slopes for skiing and leisurely taste of first sensations, 66 red runs to complicate matters and 35 black runs for insured skiers. Add to that two glaciers equipped for skiing and 3 peaks over 3000 meters, and you take the full measure of the possibilities of the field!

The resorts of Paradiski

There is skiing, but also the moments before and after skiing: it is the station that it happens. Three stations share the Paradiski area:

- La Plagne large resort founded in the 60s, La Plagne has since never ceased to grow. It consists of 4 village resorts (Champagny, Belle Plagne, Montchavin and Les Coches) and 6 altitude resorts (Plagne Center, Plagne Soleil, Plagne 1800, etc ...), each with direct access to the slopes .
